Last week's winner of the BIG Question was...Samuel Bradley Yr 7
Question:
What was the best invention of the last 100 years?
Answer:
The best invention over the past 100 years: Inventor- The original idea was first though of by a man called Leonard Kleinrock but was later edited by 2 men called J.C.R. Licklider and Robert Taylor. Date invented- A press release was held on the 3rd July 1969 signifying the general release to the public. For me the best invention made over the past 100 years would have to be internet access because for every light bulb it has already been beaten to it by a candle and for every car ever made basically if you think about it is only an updated version of a horse & chariot, but the internet is simply unique there has never been anything else like it. The internet is widely used all over the globe and a real life saver for school kids perhaps doing their homework, busy mums and dads who work and dont have much freetime, or people who dont get to see their friends and family and use social networking sites to communicate to each other. The internet is fast, simple and relieable and for me is what brought humanity out of the shadows of the dark ages and has sent us spiraling into the future, one small click of a button, one huge step for mankind
Well done Sam - you win 100 vivos!
