PE Stars of the Week
Mr. Boardman - Luke Westall for his fantastic performance in the year 7 basketball tournament, socring approximately 16 points;
Mrs. Wignall - Thomas Brooks-Silcock for his excellent effort and knowledge demonstrated in fitness;
Mr. Booth - Megan Selway for her performance in hockey in core PE;
Mrs. Hudson - Courtney Lewis for her effort in mountain biking;
Mrs. Matthews - Marcie Ewens for excellent effort in fitness;
Mr. Holden - Sasha Brennand for outstanding improvement in GCSE PE theory tests;
Mr. Williams - Rowan Greenwood for his exceptional display in his first game at scrum half;
Year 7 basketball finished 2nd in the Burnley tournament on Thursday evening. Well done to all those who represented the school.
The year 8 rugby team lost 36 - 0 in the semi-final of the Emerging Schools Plate competition. We will be looking to make the finals next year.
The year 7 rugby team dominated the Burnley Schools Championships on Monday with 2 teams in the semi finals and winning the final 35 - 15 against St. Augustines.
Year 7 girls football team overcame Fullwood High School 2 - 0 and progress to the Semi-final of the Lancashire Cup.
The year 10 football team beat St. Christophers 2 - 0 in the Lancashire cup with goals from Ross Sykes and Luke Jordan.
