PE Update
Stars of the Week:
Mr. Holden: Benjamin Cole for an excellent performance in the football team;
Mr. Booth: Connor Taylor for organising and helping with extra curricular football;
Mr. Boardman: Kim Sykes for her performance in a football fixture vs Sir John Thursby;
Mrs. Matthews: Rebecca Nicholls for her effort and progress in netball;
Mr. Wignall: Io Limmer for her attainment and progress in netball;
Mr. Williams: Brody Slater for his leadership of the year 9 rugby team and contribution to school;
News from PE:
Last Thursday (25th September) Unity College played Sir John Thursby. Our year 9 netball team won 21 - 4 with the year 8's winning 12 - 8, well done ladies!
The Year 9 rugby team lost to Clitheroe Grammar School on Tuesday in the Emerging schools cup group stage.
On Thursday 2nd October Unity College again played Sir John Thursby. Unity year 7 football team came out with a tough 2 - 2 draw. Year 8 football team thumped the opposition 10 - 1. Year 11 B team lost 4 - 2 to Sir John Thursby's 1st team and the U14 girls football squad won 3 - 0 in the Lancashire cup against Bishop Rawstorne school.
