Parkrun
This week's Unity College parkrun found former pupil Daniel Collinge, running as a member of Burnley Athletics Club, finish second in 17.05 minutes. An excellent debut Daniel well done. Current student Sam Mansfield continues to put in some very good performances finishing in 40th in 22.26 minutes. Another former student and yet another Daniel, this time Daniel McNulty finished in 52nd place in a time of 32.10 minutes.
Willow Bell set a new personal best of 26.50 minutes in 113th position, with Mr. Williams one place behind in 114th at 26.52 minutes. Aaron Lundie, on his 26th park run (well done Aaron!) finished with a time of 38.52 minutes. Well done to all who took part!
Anyone wishing to join parkrun should see the Parkrun website at http://www.parkrun.org.uk/ . Students will need parents permission to run and must print out their own barcode and take it to the event on Saturday morning at 9am to the bandstand on Towneley fields.
