Foul Play: Brazil - a story based in Brazil as the World Cup happens!
During June and July 2014 Tom Palmer, author of the Puffin football detective series, Foul Play, will be writing a live World Cup story. Foul Play: Brazil.
The story will be written in twenty-four cliffhanging episodes based in Brazil as the World Cup happens. The events on and off the field of play will affect how the story develops.
As a result, Tom will write it every evening after the games are over and it will be published free on the National Literacy Trust website before 8 a.m. the next morning.
The story will feature Charlotte and Danny, two fifteen-year-olds from the UK who have been sent to Brazil to cover the World Cup and write about Brazil for First News, the children’s newspaper. Unfortunately for them they will be thrown into a terrifying crime thriller scenario.
To make it even easier for you to read, we will be publishing each episode here on the VLE for you to read online, or download and printout. There is also a copy of the current episode in the college library, and this will be added to as each episode is published - so you can pop in during break or lunch time to catch up on what is happening.
Or why not ask your PD Tutor to read it every day during PD - it only takes about 5 minutes to read each episode.
The first chapter (the only pre-written chapter) is attached to this article.
