Mr. Boardman: Bradley Canning for being wii class champion;
Mr. Williams: Reuben Khan for excellent cross curricular knowledge between science and PE;
Mrs. Matthews: Olivia Johnson for Excellent effort and performance in basketball;
Mrs. Wignall: Jake Hatch-Smith for excellent effort in fitness and fitness and fitness assessments, especially cardiovascular fitness;
Mrs. Hudson: Caitlan Chapman Good knowledge and effort in basketball lessons;
Recent sports results at Unity College:
Year 7 girls won their semi-final of the Lancashire Cup against Southlands 3 - 2 and will now contest the final. Well done ladies.
Year 10 lost in the semi-final of the Lancashire cup 1 - 0 to St. Bedes.
Year 8 rugby team lost 36 - 0 in the semi final for the emerging schools plate but followed it up with a comfortable victory against Westholme Independent school the following day.
Unity College were one of only two teams who entered both U13 and U15 girls teams into the girls North West emerging schools rugby finals. U13s finished 7th and the U15s finished in 6th place, well done all.
The Unity College trampolinists had a clean sweep in the difficult level 3 competition. The medal winners were:-
Girls - 1st - Alice Kelly, 2nd -Ellecia Farnworth, 3rd -
Lucy Kelly.
Boys - 1st Dexter Williams, 2nd - Jamie Twigger, 3rd - Jonathan Loftus.
Year 11 boys football team beat Blessed Trinity 4 - 3 in the Burnley Schools Cup.
